The Hallowed Spot

A VIEW FROM THE ROCK

     Within the heart of every human being springs hope eternal. I believe there is something within the heart of every man and of every woman that tells them they are an eternal being, something that tells them this life is not the end but rather the beginning. That something that whispers this truth to the human heart is God.

     For over three years my pen had lain silent, waiting on the anointing, without which, I cannot write. Lately I've felt the Spirit whispering gently, now is the time. Now is the time the 'Divine Mysteries' I feel in my soul are coming to life and I knew I must share them.

     In the year of 2012 I had the unique privilege of looking into my own heart. Lying in the Mount Carmel Hospital in Columbus, Ohio I knew that my earthly life would either be saved or that I would soon be in the presence of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. During those moments between life and death I saw the fountain of life pumping its life-giving blood throughout my body. As I watched this miracle of life I knew that only God could create something as marvelous as the human body. The words of the Psalmist came to me when he said we were fearfully and wonderfully made.

     It is my prayer that your soul has been blessed by these stories that are so close to my heart. May your faith rise up and take the wings of the morning. May your eyes be opened to the miracles that are happening around us each day and may your heart sing that classic old song that has stood the test of time: "My God How Great Thou Art!"
