![]() Brad Greystone, the main character in this novel, has been summoned home by his father to fix up Downing Chapel. Brad's father, the Reverend George Greystone, built the church and remained its pastor until he was stricken down by a stroke which left him partly paralyzed. Due to the Reverend George Greystone's illness, he stepped down as the church's pastor and the building has run down and been abandoned. The church is haunted by voices out of the past and Brad Greystone's own conscience haunts him as he endevours to repair the church. In the process of repairing his father's church, Brad Greystone once again finds the God he has forsaken and returns home--home to the mountains of New Hampshire and home to Downing Chapel. Brad Greystone restores the old paths and brings back the former glory to the church and answers the call as he becomes the Pastor of Downing Chapel. At the present time I am trying to get an interview with Mel Gibson in order to convince him the story in this novel would make a great movie about the timeless story of the Prodigal Son. To my knowledge there never has been a movie about the Prodigal Son. I believe such a movie would bring Glory to God and promote the cause of Christ beyond what can be imagined. |

Dear Mr. Gibson If by Divine Providence you get a chance to look through this book, I think you will agree it would make a very good movie. This is my very last copy and I had originally tried to write a friend’s name but I messed up the writing and blotted it out. I believe that our Lord moves in mysterious ways His wonders to perform. I also believe that all things are possible to those who believe. I am taking this leap of faith in the hope this first novel I wrote will reach your eyes and touch your heart.
